Richael Timothy Qualifies for Paris Paralympics 2024
Richael Timothy, an Irish para-cycling athlete, has qualified to represent Ireland at the Paris Paralympic Games next month, showcasing her dedication and resilience.
After a life-altering injury, Richael transitioned from football to Paralympic cycling. "After my injury, I found a new direction in Paralympic cycling. Each competition represents a journey of resilience and determination," she said. HLB Ireland proudly sponsors Richael.

Since joining the Paracycling squad in 2018, Richael has competed in the World Championships and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. Her Paris 2024 qualification highlights her dedication and hard work. She has followed an intense training regime to prepare, including camps with double gold medallist Mark Rohan, honing her skills on challenging terrains.
Beyond her athletic pursuits, Richael is deeply involved in her community. She runs a fitness business, organises classes for young children, and participates in the "Dare to Believe" program, inspiring schoolchildren with her Paralympic experiences. She also speaks on leadership, mental health, and LGBTQI+ inclusion in sports, reflecting her commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will take place from 28 August to 8 September. HLB Ireland proudly supports her as she gears up to represent Ireland internationally.
